It all started with a red birthmark on his forehead when he
was only 2 years old. He then had to be hospitalized several times
due to fever and eye problems that never healed.
Salvador "Buddy" Cabural Jr. did not know that he had
arteriovenous malformation, a mostly congenital condition that
involves the central nervous system that causes a deformity that
worsens over time.
Though treatment is available for this disease, the lack of
funds prevented the boy's family to find a vascular surgeon who can
help them and his condition has rapidly worsened.
He is now 27 years old and despite above average
intelligence, he could not hold a job due to muscle weakness,
vertigo, speech and memory difficulties. To survive, this young man
with a positive disposition, made coin banks and distributed these
in shops.
As he travels using public transport, he painfully has to
deal with people's shocked and fearful reactions. Despite it being
a non-communicable disease, people cringe and are moved to pity.
Friends are making a desperate search across the world via
internet to find a vascular surgeon willing to perform the
operation while Buddy waits and hopes for a miracle.
