Photo 1 -- New York City skyline with the Brooklyn Bridge in the
foreground, as seen from the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn. Taken
Christmas Day 2007.
Photo 2 -- A Christmas kaledioscope show, complete with
Christmas music was projected throughout the arrivals hall of Grand
Central Station on Christmas Day. You just had to stop and smile at
the beauty and simplicity of it. People were dancing, children were
watching with wonder and awe, and it was the most magical Christmas
day.
Photo 3 -- Rockefeller Center decorated for Christmas. The
whole city comes alive at Christmas time, and the positioning of
these angels and the golden light illuminated under them, and the
snowflakes suspended between the buildings gave the entire display
a magical feeling.
Photo 4 -- An exhibit at St. Paul's Chapel that shows the
unity experienced all over the world post-9/11. At that time, it
didn't matter if you were Republican, Democrat, black or white --
we were all Americans on that day.
Photo 5 -- One of my favorite things about New York is the
dichonomy that exists between old and new. The financial districtis
is full massive skyscrapers, one rising above another, and in the
middle of it, places like Trinity Church exist in the space place
they have always been, preserving their own history.
Photo 6 -- A view of Manhattan from the beautiful gothic
structure known as the Brooklyn Bridge. The foot path is one of the
best ways to see the beauty of the skyline.
Photo 7 -- Two New York icons: the yellow cab and Bloomies.
The corner of 59th and Lexington has been called the busiest in the
world.
Photo 8 -- Lady Liberty continues to look foward and welcome
"the tired, the poor, and the huddled masses yearning to breathe
free" on Liberty Island.
Photo 9 -- If you want someone to see your show, product,
movie, put it in Times Square. Once a haven for seedy characters,
the Great White Way has become the home of Broadway shows and the
most tourist infiltrated place in the city.
Photo 10 -- A metal created model created of Rockefeller
Center sits in the courtyard, rising up next to the real thing.
