Sarah Palin came to Georgia today in true Palin style...and I was there! She even brought the snow with her! As luck would have it we had what is RARE for us here in Georgia, snow flurries starting just before Sarah arrived. She said the snow made her feel right at home. My daughter and I drove up to the arena from our homes about one hour away with snow flurries falling all around. I thought about Sarah Palin's reaction to our rare Georgia snowfall as we drove in. It was a WONDERFUL day in Georgia!

I did get to be on stage with Sarah and I did get to meet her : ) It was just a brief handshake and a few words while still on stage with her before she went to the crowd out front to sign autographs and hold a precious baby. Meeting her was truly the HIGHLIGHT of my day : )

She was running a little late from her last rally appearance and the lights were getting pretty hot up front with such a big crowd as we waited for her to appear. Then a lady on the front row, right in front of the podium fainted in the crowd and had to be carried out just as Sarah was to take the stage. We had a bit of a delay while paramedics attended to the lady who had fainted. We could not see from the stage but think the lady probably got to meet Sarah on her way out as they carried her right by her. Some on the stage commented that the press told us only Obama fans fainted at rallies, NOT!

We had been told in advance there would be no time on Sarah's tight schedule today with four events spread all over our state for individual photos or autographs for those of us on stage with her. We didn't mind as it was such a great privilege just to be there with her and get a chance to exchange a few words and shake her hand afterwards.

I introduced myself as Georgia's "Joe" from the McCain "I AM JOE" TV campaign ad featuring six small business owners from across the USA that ran in swing states during the election. I asked Gov. Palin to keep fighting for all us JOES out here and she smiled as she shook my hand warmly and said she would.

She is even more beautiful in person and so poised, I could not have been more impressed with her. She was everything and more that I had imagined her to be when seen in person. The crowd loved her and she returned that love to all she met here.

They gave me a huge sign backstage that said "I AM JOE THE PLUMBER" you may have seen me holding it up behind Sarah during the rally as I was just over Gov. Palin's right shoulder at the rally at the Gwinnett arena. I held my sign up as we were ushered to our places on the stage and the crowd gave out a big cheer for "Joe The Plumber" : )

We are so grateful here in Georgia for Sarah Palin taking time out of her busy schedule in Alaska to come here and campaign for our Sen. Chambliss. There has never been a more important runoff election in our state's history.

There were several signs in the crowd today that read Palin/Chambliss 2012, ummmmm now that's an interesting idea!
