iReport —
The following is being dubbed in Canada as 'Once in a Life Time Political Crisis' : Yesterday a stunning development took place in the Canadian History. In response to a fiscal update from the conservative govt of Stephen Harper, the opposition parties of Liberal, NDP and Bloc Quebecois forged an alliance together to defeat the Harper govt six weeks after it was reelected. Guess what! They want to put in a new govt in place without an election and put Stephane Dion as Prime Minister who was over whelmingly rejected by Canadians for his bid to the Prime Minister's office six weeks ago. Canada can't afford this destabilization in the Federal govt because of the economic challenges we are facing .. Public says NO ! NO! NO! ..and so do I ... Hoping to get the attention of other Canadians along with Americans to participate in this discussion. Website for further info: http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/547064 Update : December 3rd morning According to Angus Reid poll of December 1-2nd: 64% respondents said they will NOT be comfortable with Stephane Dion as Prime Minister 57% are worried about the Bloc Quebecois becoming involved in the federal govt. That is simply because this party is the Quebec Sepratist party. There are portests planned for staurday throughout Canada which thousands are expected to attend.
