Moon light brighter than normal and causing another "moon" to reflect
December 13, 2008 | Port Arthur, Texas | Vetting explained
Heard the moon was going to appear brighter and would be closer to the earth tonight so I went outside to see it for myself. The moon is shining like a spotlight in the sky and is beautiful. It is a clear, cloudless night tonight so the moon is easy to see in sky. The picture I took seems to show two moons but I suspect it is just a reflection of the moon making it seem another moon is below the real moon.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
