Another Reason to Let Detroit Sink

'What Makes A Car American?' by CNN.com
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/12/12/american.cars/index.html
The above article says it all - FOREIGN automakers create more jobs for America than it's domestic competitors.
Detroit has farmed out almost every piece of car manufacturing it can to other countries to shave a buck off production costs - and still produces by far the most unreliable and overpriced piece of machinery you can buy. Toyota, for example, has plants that assemble and build almost ENTIRE VEHICLES here in the United States alone.
So the next time you think you are buying a Detroit 'American' product - think again. You might just be sending your money overseas faster than you think. Still want to bail out Detroit?

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
