Still NO Power (heat, water, toliets) in Amherst, NH
December 15, 2008 | Amherst, New Hampshire | Vetting explained
In Amherst NH, school are all cancelled and a large percentage of residents do not have any power. Sure, I can live without light, but without power our well can't pump and toliets won't flush either. We also cannot run our propane heat. The temperature INSIDE our home last night was 34 degrees.
The power lines are all down along Seaverns Bridge Road for approximately 1/2 of a mile. I haven't seen any crews working on them at all.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
