Nullifying Same Sex Marriages
December 20, 2008 | Chicago, Illinois | Vetting explained
What is it with people who feel so strongly against gay marriage in this country that they would do everything in their power to make it so these people can't enjoy the same benefits of marriage as heterosexual couples?
Is this a case of religion mixing with politics? It seems to me that it is.... and if that's the case, is that not against our countries policy of a separation of church and state?
Gay marriages should not bother the general public, they deserve to have the same rights to benefits as straight couples do. It's not as if having a gay couple get married takes away from heterosexual couples marriages. It does absolutely nothing.
So what I'm wanting to get out of this is people's opinions of what causes people to be against gay marriages? Religion, personal beliefs, mis-informed opinions of what will happen once gay people can be married, etc. Have a great weekend!

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
