Annual Alpaca Walk, New Year's Eve
December 29, 2008 | Lorida, Florida | Vetting explained
Florida Alpaca Breeders are walking "alpacadeer" on New Year's Eve again, with three towns joining in...starting along Lake Okeechobee, then through downtown Lake Placid (Florida), finishing at the historic Sebring Circle where folks will join in humming "Alde Lang Syne" with the critters. This year's walks feature Tiny Tim Tebow (born during halftime of Florida vs Alabama SEC Championship Game.)
On January 1, 2009...the alpacas will be wearing respective team jerseys and appearing, in succession, at tailgate parties for the Outback Bowl in Tampa, then the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, and end up at the Orange Bowl in Miami for the second year in a row.
