I, Ken, am in Alberta, Canada and chatted with "Wael" in Gaza just now; here is part of our chat:

wael says: well yes its alittle dangerous here

wael says: alot of support for israel

Ken says: Can you feel the shock waves of exploding bombs? See the fires?

wael says: israel is the 5th power in the world attaking very armless people

wael says: israel army is very strong

Ken says: But you are in the Gaza Strip, are you?

wael says: here we heard some big explosions and house sometimes shakes alot

wael says: yes iam in khan younis

Ken says: Did not Hamas provoke this attack, though?

wael says: well yesterday it was very close to my house

wael says: it was very frightening

wael says: well hamas was forced to send missiles to israel

Ken says: why forced?

wael says: you know israel have closed gaza for more than a year

Ken says: That would be like standing, naked, beside an angry bull elephant and then kicking that elephant, wouldn't it?

wael says: so they didnt let the food and the necessary things to enter gaza

wael says: we cant travel abroad

wael says: electricity is not aloud

Ken says: Can the people not get food etc from other countries in the area, by air or ship?

wael says: yes

wael says: they can

wael says: but israel should give the approval for it

Ken says: So you don't NEED Israel nor access to/from it, do you?

wael says: here if you want tro go to egypt its very very difficult

wael says: yrs

wael says: yes

Ken says: WHY does Israel treat you so badly?

wael says: israel do not allow us to live a normal life

wael says: because we resisit the israeli occupation

wael says: we are not criminial

Ken says: Israel is not "occupying" Gaza is it?

wael says: the occupation is the crime itself

wael says: after israel left gazxa

wael says: they closed all the borders

Ken says: why?

wael says: you can ask them

wael says: they made our life extremely difficult
