Gaza war
January 5, 2009 | sderot, ashkelon, Israel | Vetting explained
As the War with Hamas continues for the 10th day and the ground invasion into the 3rd day, I visited Askalon and Sderot in southern Israel which have been battered by rocket and mortar fire.People run to bombshelters as the sirens sound and people living there have been doing this for many years including during the "cease fire" Sderot has been under attack for years and has seen a renewed siege since the end of the cease fire. Documenting the dammage and staying in community bomb shelters during barrages. I captured the frustration and fear felt by the residents. All photo taken by Daniel Dreifuss/Locusimages.com

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
