Can't Buy A Thrill
January 10, 2009 | San Antonio, Texas | Vetting explained
It's winter, 1973. I was 12 years old when I bought Steely Dan's Can't Buy A Thrill at the BX on the Air Force Academy using my paper route money - I delivered the Denver Post. First song, side 2, -I'm listening to Reelin' In The Years as I write this and that opening guitar not only takes me back to snow and hot chocolate but, and having nothing to due with fahrenheit, still gives me chills. A Classic lp from a timeless band. Steely Dan has always been in heavy rotation at our house. Who say you can't buy a thrill?

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
