Northern Illinois University Massacre Memorial

Just days after a gunman opened fire on students sitting in geology class in Cole Hall on the NIU campus, crosses with the names of all the victims were erected on a nearby hill in their memory. Today, students, alumni, family, friends and faculty gathered in front of the memorial to pray and remember the victims. Some individuals left flowers, others poem and even lit candles.
