Cold Blast Hits NW Arkansas
January 15, 2009 | Rogers, Arkansas | Vetting explained
The Big Chill has hit NW Arkansas. Temperatures at 8:00 A.M. CT in Rogers, AR were reported to be -4 degrees with wind chill but there was almost no wind.
As of this writing, snow is coming down, and some schools have closed because of the dangerous driving conditions AND because heating buildings when it's this cold is very, very difficult.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
