Stimulus package
January 16, 2009 | Shreveport, Louisiana | Vetting explained
I do not proclaim to be a politician, nor am I a financial genius. I am just a single mother of three children trying to make it in a country that I love dearly. I am very concerned, the longer this all goes on, I will not have a country to love very soon. I understand that we are the ones who vote the leaders into office, but why do they get the decision to run our country into the ground. I would like to know how I can contact someone to let them know why I do not want to continue to throw my hard earned tax dollars at the banks that have causded us the problems in the first place. If they want to stimulate the economy, start with the people that are contributing to the tax fund in the first place. Maybe just throwing money at people is not the right thing to do, but there must be a way that we can recieve some of it to spend in the economy and I assure you the economy will benefit. I can not speak for all, but I can tell you I am scared to spend any extra money right now, I am more looking to start a garden and start raising my own meat.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
