After all the gaiety, pomp and excitement surrounding President Obama's inauguration yesterday, I found it a very sobering reminder to see tanks and armored personnel carriers, strapped securely to flatbed train cars, passing through Duson, Louisiana at 8 am.  There were at least 10 train cars, with two vehicles per car.The sight brought to the wars abroad back home with a stark clarity which significantly echoed the Presidents words that there is still much to be done, and it will not be done quickly.

With everyone jubilant over "change", take a moment to remember our brave men and women who serve our country at home and abroad.  A new era in our history has begun, but to those who use these machines of war, it's just another day out there.
