Kennett Missouri Post Ice Storm
January 30, 2009 | Kennett, Missouri | Vetting explained
My father took these pictures with his cell phone. He just arrived here in Louisiana after leaving Kennett. The storm hit Monday night and has shut down the majority of the town. There is no power and only Walmart and a couple of gas stations are able to open, probably four stores in total.
The residents of Kennett need help, as many of them are not able to get out as my father did. They have recieved little to no media attention. Some of my family remains there, including my Grandmother. They depend on wood burning heaters and generators for heat and lights.
