Look, this is sad. I hate to see suffering just like everyone else does. Their government doesn't want us. But I want to loook at a larger scale.

We are always welcome to help other countries, when we can't even take care of ourselves. I remember, i think it was 2 years ago, President Bush came on TV and announced we are going to help the phillipines out with poverty. American Idol does the "Idol Gives Back" every year for children in Africa.

Our world bank, which we still barely run, loans money to countries, even if they don't repay.

Did any of these countries offer help when hurricane Katrina smashed through Louisianna?

Look I feel bad for these countries where kids are sleeping on the streets, and people are suffering, etc. But we can't even help ourselves, how can we help others?

Why doesn't american idol raise money to help poverty in our own country? Why don't people adopt starving children from within the U.S.? Why are we so quick to help others, when no one wants to help us? Why aren't we sending hlp where the tornados just hit?

When these candidates campaign, they raise millions of dollars. we're talking millions of dollars.
They raise enough in a month to give thousands of families a health care plan. Instead the money is used for TV commercials, and slamming slogans on opponents.
I would love to see a candidate raise a ton of money, not travel, put out 1 commercial expressing their views etc., and go to debates when asked to debate, and give the rest of the campaign money to charities through out the US. When they campaign they talk about the same damn thing. Might as well get it all out in 1 commercial, or meeting on CNN or something and do something good with the money.. hey helping people with finances is what they preach about.

Sorry that happened Myanmar, I hope you can get to the food we bring yuo. Just remember, while we bring them food, there are homeless people that live right down the street, here in our own country. Why not use these goods to feed and house them. Why does it take a natural disaster, somewhere other than our own country, to all of a sudden see all kinds of extra food and clothing and shelter that we need right here on a regular basis.
