Why should Phelps apologise because he was caught smoking pot?  I'd rather have him do that than drink booze, get behind the wheel and kill someone.

People just don't get it I guess.  Anyone who has smoked pot knows that it's damn near impossible to get so messed up that you do something stupid...unlike alcohol..

Everyone knows that you can die of alcohol poisioning...when was the last time someone died from pot poisoning?

Sure, pot can make SOME lazy and unmotivated...but like anything else it's all in moderation.  If you don't over-do it there is no serious negative concequences...and as far as pot goes there are no negative concequences short of being lazy and cancer...

which brings up my next point... Cigarettes..   Why have booze and cigarettes legal and pot illegal?  I'm not one to stand here and say you can't get cancer from pot...because anyone with half a brain knows that you can.  BUT..  I do feel that cigarettes are much worse for you... if for no other reason than they add no benefit to smoking them.  yes I am a cigarette smoker too...

So Phelps...I commend you for picking up the pot pipe instead of the booze.  Way to give us pot smokers 1/2 a chance :)
