15-minute Storm Hits Montgomery, AL Devastates
My children and I heard the light rains start to fall on our rental house in Montgomery, Alabama. After about 3 minutes of rainfall, the lights started to flicker and then suddenly we start to hear the winds pick up. Then the lights went out. My husband comes into the children's bedroom telling us to look out of the window to see the winds. As we looked, a large tree branch fell right next to my husband's vehicle, missing it. Outside looked like a hurricane was passing through our yard. I just couldn't believe my eyes!
I took all of the children into one bedroom and we immediately began to pray for God's protection. We live in an older rental house with large trees all around us. My concern was a tree coming down on our house.
The winds died down after only about 15 minutes or less! The next morning I left the house to make a small grocery trip to Wal-Mart only to find MUCH devastation right around the corner from our house!
