Horror Saturday Bushfires 2
February 8, 2009 | Melbourne, Australia | Vetting explained
As temperatures soared records fell and when smoke filled the air many locals began evacuations fearing a repeat of Ash Wednesday in 1983. Thank God we were spared but our hearts go out to those who werent, a memory all too fresh even from 26 years ago. How can one forget.
Smoke to the east, north and south and from the west - More sun. So if its a little too cold where you are, Thank God, at least you can rug up, but when its Hell nothing helps, just your frame of mind.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
