THE BEST MOM EVER -- KIDS' VIDEO TRIBUTE WITH LOVE
-- A Story about my Mom, by Me, 5th Grader and Sister of 2
Brothers Overcoming Autism -- "Curing Autism" is a story of my mom.
She is very smart, kind, loving and has three kids. I am her
daughter with blonde hair in 5th grade. My brothers were born with
autism. When my mom found out it changed my life. Because of her
incredible efforts, they are OVERCOMING the difficult issues it has
caused, leaving them with more of GOOD and less of the problems,
more and more each day. My older brother keeps getting better. My
younger brother, two minutes younger than me, keeps getting better
too. My younger brother is slightly less affected by autism than my
older brother. He is in an advanced math class at school and editor
of the yearbook for the second year in a row in 5th grade. My older
brother is in a class with only eight kids for half of the day, and
included with healthy 7th graders the other half of the school day.
The younger one is also my TWIN. I am very healthy though.
My mom and I support them with everything they do. These things
include tough times, like hospitals stays and therapies, and good
times like trying new fun things. I am a very good athlete, so I've
been told. I play all sorts of sports with them. I teach them
swimming, basketball, golf, soccer, lacrosse, biking, touch
football, and a little bit of baseball. They teach me a lot about
video games, art, music, computers, other electronics, and many
interesting characters. We play at many amusement parks, pools,
arcades, and playgrounds also. My older brother likes the roller
coasters more than my twin brother. My mom taught us all how to
swim before our first birthdays, since she was on a swim team as a
child. We are all great swimmers and LOVE the water. Swimming, hot
tubs and baths really seem to relax us. We have tons of fun
together. We always have.
We have three house rules that we all respect:
1) Everyone is Always Included
2) Stay Safe
3) Have Fun!
I'm sure it's obvious, but our friends love to come to our house
to play.
We especially love our mom for taking such good care of us and
loving us so much! She teaches us to always reach out and help
others too. We doubt there are too many better moms in the whole
world, especially for helping kids overcoming tough problems. HAPPY
MOTHER'S DAY MOM, WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! Love, A, J and J
