Burning Building in Beijing
February 9, 2009 | Beijing, China | Vetting explained
We spotted the fire when it first started at around 20.50 (local time). I took pictures from then until 21.30. This building was newly built and is situated on the East 3rd Ring Road in Beijing, right next to the famous new CCTV building.
The pictures were taken from our 36th-floor apartment in Beijing's CBD (Central Business District) area.
This must be due to the fireworks which are exceptional tonight. They have been going on non-stop since Jan 25th - Chinese New Year.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
