Sully & Crew Get Keys to the City
February 9, 2009 | Dix Hills, New York | Vetting explained
Today, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave Capt. Sullenberger and the crew of Flight 1549 keys to the city. The Mayor refered to Sully as "Captain Cool." That name is so appropriate judging from the calm manner in which he handled the situation.
He and his crew saved 155 lives on that flight. These guys are true American Heros!

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
