Hello this is John Riolo and welcome to my Civil Discourse Blog. http://psychjourney_blogs.typepad.com/your_advocate_online/ Yes deadbeat dads are those despicable fellows who have children that they can’t or won’t support. But can there be deadbeat moms as well. Yes I suppose I am referring to the now infamous mother of the Octuplets with a total of 14 children and no visible means of support. Look I don’t want to unnecessarily disparage a woman who from all the reports and TV interviews is clearly troubled. However I am sure troubled can also describe many men who have multiple children they can or won’t support. And few men we call deadbeat went so far as to produce 14 children So in the spirit of equality of the sexes what do we do? At least we need a serious discussion and debate in this society of the rights and responsibilities of parenthood and how do we enforce those responsibilities. I like to hear from you.
