ABOUT MY MOMMY -- By: Mattie J.T. Stepanek (at age 9) -- "Reflections of a Peacemaker"
To me, my mommy is very special.
I love her and trust her with all my heart.
She saved me when I was a baby.
She gave me life not only in birth,
But bringing me back to life on earth
When God welcomed me into Heaven a little too early.
Then, she taught me...
How to be peaceful and live in harmony.
How to be kind and generous,
And to think of others before myself.
How to think and start out positive,
And how to mediate, because fighting
Is no way to figure things out.
She has been teaching me life lessons
For as long as I can remember.
And everyone has a major part
In my past, my present, and my future.
Throughout our life,
We have lived through many things together.
Bad times and good, sad times and happiness,
Danger and safety, violence and peace,
Anger and love, and hatred and harmony.
I know that no matter what,
We will always be together.
The Dynamic Duo, forever.
Each day we face a new step in the future,
Inseparable and fun-seeking, together.
I love you, Mommy,
And we will always be Together Forever.
Together.
Forever.
