Return of the Middle Ages
Luckily not for good, but the Middle Ages returned for just a few
hours in the woods near Vlissingen, the Netherlands. The Monday
after Penticost is a day off for most people so several activities
are organised. For the first time it was the national day of
castles. Near the small castle Westhoven in Oostkapelle, a few
kilometers from Vlissingen, an encampment was placed. People showed
how life was in the Middle Ages. Including a shooting with arrows.
