Thought about American..
February 16, 2009 | Eugene, Oregon | Vetting explained
I honestly thought about buying american, however I have heard too many horror stories of American cars falling apart. My mom has a Jeep that is having many kinds of problems, namely phantom electrical problems and bad brake rotors from the factory.
Also resale value, check Kelly Blue Book, the ones that higher resale values are foreign cars.
If the car makers in Detroit make a good AND affordable car, then I would think of it.
Also, what really makes an American Car?
One where the parent company is American or one that was manufactured in America? Many cars put out by American car companies were not even made in America, but manufactured in Mexico or another country

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
