Liangping County, Chongqing Municipality, Wenhua Town
People afraid to return to their homes after the earthquake because reports of more aftershocks all through the night. In the first picture people are sleeping in metal drainage pipes. Many people set up makeshift beds and spent the night outside in the dark because power was out all over the town. People set up umbrellas to protect against mosquitoes and other insects during the humid night.
