Anxiety & Depression after Senior Job Hunt Disappointment infoaddict
March 11, 2009 | Western, New York | Vetting explained
Recently I was lucky enough to land an interview for a job for which several hundred others of varying ages had applied. After the interview I had a gut feeling I had not scored a win. I spent the next 24 hours suffering from a horrendous anxiety attack that I am proud to say I handled and survived through some good self-talk.
It's so much harder to deal with rejection when we're older. So it's important for us to share our experiences so we don't feel isolated in our job searches and to support each other when we stumble. Hang in there and keep in contact with the old Infoaddict.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
