汶川地震造成川19509人死亡 遇难人数估计超5万
The People's Republic of China government announced on 15 May 2008 that the dead go up to 50,000 or more estimation only in Sichuan by People's Republic of China and the Sichuan big earthquake.
The amplitude of the stricken area was also improved from 65,000 old sq Km by 100,000 or more sq Km which hits more than the quarter of whole extent of Japan. Xinhua News Agency told.
According to the governmental seismic hazard task force, the death toll checked until now is 19,509 persons only in Sichuan. According to the said ministry, about 12,300 persons are still buried alive, and the injured are about 102,100 persons.
