American film maker beaten by Greek ultra - nationalists

American documentary film maker and critic, Ray Pride was attacked and beaten during a political rally last night in the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki. Pride was visiting the city in order to attend the city's 11th documentary film festival and happened to be taking pictures of the rally by the far right LAOS party in the central Agias Sophias square when he was set upon by 5 or 6 ultra-nationalists who according to police reports, were most likely party supporters.
