A follow up from our story in November
March 25, 2009 | Indiana | Vetting explained
Hey Ireporters!
Annette here, and I wanted to update you guys with how the economic crisis has been with our family. As some of you know, we were interviewed by CNN in November about me losing my job and the upcoming holidays. Thanks to a lot of very kind people, my 4 year old had a wonderful Christmas and ....I got a job!
I think it was only time in my life I've ever been excited by the words "welcome aboard!". I work from home doing billing for a company. I don't have daycare expenses, I get to keep my daughter at home with me and my family is slowly recovering from the slump we've been in.
I feel very fortunate that I was given the opportunity to be interviewed by CNN.
I know a lot of you guys out there struggling, just like us. I want to reassure you there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. Things will get better. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it really is the truth.
Once we are back on our feet firmly, I will "pay it forward", all the kindness and wonderful messages we received during our hard times.
