Earth Hour - Los Angeles
March 29, 2009 | Los Angeles, California | Vetting explained
Photographing lights at night is a challenge without a good tripod and camera, but gave it a try.
These videos and pictures were taken from The Griffith Observatory last night at 8:30pm. The Staple Centrer shut their lights down a few minutes early, so again a little difficult to get everything in sinc. So made a few videos as well.
1. Lights on Los Angeles
2. Crowd waiting at the Observatory for the lights to go out.
3. Lights out LA, a little difference, but hard to tell.
4. Lights out at the Observatory.
5. Blue lights are the Staple Center and they were turned off a few mintues before 8:30pm.
6. Lights out Los Angeles
7. Lights on Los Angeles

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
