Ending the R Word (video)
March 31, 2009 | Malden, Massachusetts | Vetting explained
Tyler Lagasse happens to have autism, but he doesn't want to be defined by that, or by what's being called the "r" word. (He'd rather be remembered for his golf swing--his personal best score is 79 over 18 holes!)
That's why he is so enthusiastic about the Special Olympics' national campaign, "Spread the Word to End the Word."

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
