Senate Denounces Fraud Made By Bolivian Government
Senate President Oscar Ortiz, today introduced the "Clean Elections, public demand," in which claims a series of irregularities that would have occurred in the most recent public consultations and in the elections of 2005 and 2009.
According to the paper, warning that Ortiz suffered a voter surge "abnormal" enrolled, "especially in the department of Pando, where between 2006 and 2008 increased by 36% the number of registered and before the recall, rose about half of this 36%, or nearly 17%, which is inexplicable. "
"Another issue that has been observed and that evidence shows is the manipulation of the vote in certain areas, and white votes that have virtually disappeared in those areas in which the MAS has always drawn very high rates," says paper presented by Ortiz.
The first authority of the Senate recalled that the European Union made a proposal to improve the electoral roll within the period of eight months, which can not be considered given the proximity to specify the December elections.
"The minimum requirement to be met by December 2009 is a joint audit and debugging and what worries us is that so far we see no sign that the Government will open to review the system of personal identification. Until that review is not going to be reliable and credible results, "said Ortiz.
