You Can't Poll This
April 1, 2009 | Vetting explained
For the 2nd time in only a month it was a real eye opener last night here on iReports.
In fact it went beyond interesting to the point of bewilderment, but ended with a much better understanding of who the Obama haters are and why.
-
For the most part their young, 30-40 crowd, most with a college education, and yet have never develop their own sense of identity, have never studied the root cause and effect of various situations as it pertains to America. (but to live under the shadow of someone's liking and dislike and or disposition prove to be the eye opener)
-
I spent over 2 hours conversing with one such person who flooded the site with 3 or 4 iReports that where to put it kindly garbage, and each time this person put one out it was to thank someone else for the idea. Which didn't require any sort of genius to figure out in the first place. In one of the reports it was discovered that this person did not even bother to vote, and claim it was the first time in 20 years of not voting.

But here's a shocker, this person couldn't bare to vote for McCain, but didn't want to hurt his Fathers strong southern up-bringing by voting for Obama. (this deduced through the back and forth waste of time dialog)
At one point this make believe iReporter became up-set and threw out the accusation that the race card was being used against him and had the moderator delete a post.
Of course the older 'White' person like myself doesn't use nor find the need to play that game.

But now a much clear picture emerges of the demography of America, and you won't get that through any poll. They can't measure any real and honest thought, like what took place last night. It leaves a person like myself rather disgusted, a little disappointed that we as a nation are still so out of touch with real America. That a vast majority really have no desire or even an interest for the most part to make it truly an inclusive society, other then, as this person pointed out, to hire illegal immigrants to save money for his fathers business.

Where does America go from here, your guess is as good as mine..

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
