Good riddance, TEAR IT DOWN NOW
It's about time they tear Coney Island down. I do not share the
sentiment that most of you do. I am 28 years old, and have lived in
Coney Island all my life.
What the media doesn't say, is that Coney Island became a
haven for the homeless, drug abuse, and criminal activity. Coney
Island has by NO MEANS been a safe area for tourists and the
surrounding communities to visit. Astroland is surrounded by low
income projects that should be leveled to the ground. I can only
hope that developers with plenty of means can clear out this once
popular and safe area.
The amount of human garbage that populates Coney Island is
astounding. It is a beautiful area, with a beautiful beach and
should be brought back from the brink. I dare anyone to take a walk
on the beach today in Coney Island. You will find the sand riddled
with crack needles and junkies under the boardwalk who would gladly
rob you at gunpoint for their next fix.
So please, will all honesty, TEAR IT DOWN and remove this bad
element from Brooklyn.
