History is a Nightmare
April 10, 2009 | Leominster, Massachusetts | Vetting explained
I think it was James Joyce that wrote "History is a nightmare I am trying to wake up from." Apt words for the situation the middle class worker is in. Raygun (misspelled on purpose) clearly felt that things that benifited the rich were the best thing for this country. I have to admire how honest and up front he was about it, but how has that worked out?

All that money that your employer sent to the government for Social Security became IOU's so that the government could build bigger and better bombs without raising taxes. If you are in your late 50's like I am, that's a concern.

Let me say up front I voted for Obama. I also know that he is dealing with a situation not of his own makeing. That being said, I'm a little pissed off. Why?

His whole econonmic team are alumni of Goldman Sachs, AIG and Merril Lynch. You could make the argument that anyone with experience in the markets would have exposure to these companies. Oh please, you can't tell me that you can't find anyone with banking experience that isn't tainted by these companies. We need people who are at arms length to these instituions, not insiders. Obama promised to end the culture of money buying politics. I ain't seen it yet.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
