I am a college student at Old Dominion University with a marketing major. What caught my attention – in this economy – was a “marketing campaign” where the marketer (now unemployed) is the subject of the campaign: “Woman For Hire. Will Pay (YOU) For Work.”

Well, the $6,000 finder’s fee caught my attention, too!!

Here’s the upshot: After paying a search firm (the firm charged $6,000) 15 months ago, Beverly Shepard is now offering to pay her friends – up to $6,000 – to help her find a job!

Beverly ‘s 15+-year career spans journalism, research, advertising and marketing positions at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Cox Enterprises and The Virginian-Pilot. She has journalism and law degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill. S far she has posted her offer on Linkedin and Facebook and her story has been mentioned on blogtalkradio, theebonynetwork, blackamericans.com, Fast Company.com and was featured on two Norfolk (VA)-area TV stations.

Here’s the video. Take a look!!

If you have a lead – or want more detail – send it Beverly.Shepard@gmail.com.

Happy job hunting, Beverly!
