Today is carbon day for me
April 22, 2009 | Boise, Idaho | Vetting explained
Today I plan on keeping all the lights on, setting my air conditioner to 60 degrees and driving back and forth to the grocery store for single items at a time. For a reason I am not too sure of, I feel compelled to live today as if I were an average American as it is every other day of the year that I practice what is preached on Earth Day. I look forward to a future where, for the novelty of it, we celebrate a "carbon day."

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
