H1N1 Flu confirmed in Delaware - Newark Main Street and University of Delaware
April 30, 2009 | Newark, Delaware | Vetting explained
There are 4 confirmed cases of "swine flu" in University of Delaware students, along with 8 "probable" cases. Because I had to go the Main Street area today, I decided to take pictures of how it was affecting the campus area. Business on Main Street seemed busier than normal for a Thursday afternoon and student shoppers did not seem deterred. But events such as the end-of-year concert at the University's Bob Carpenter Center were cancelled, which was supposed to be held tonight with rapper Young Jeezy. Also, there were several news vans parked along the street preparing for the afternoon broadcast. And farther into campus, there was a Flu clinic set up.
