Update: 2009 Emmy Recipient, Advance Media Awards, LoneStar Chapter.
Blogger and CNN iReporter contributor Patricio Espinoza, and his blog "My Reporter's NotePad" (www.espiblog.org) have been nominated for a 2009 Lone Star Emmy, Advance Media Awards for Breaking News Coverage of Hurricane IKE.
Stories were first published in Espinoza's blog espiBlog.org, and later sent to various news outlets including CNN and CNNiReport.
Espinoza is also the Founder & Managing Editor of a recent Digital Journalism Project in San Antonio, TX SA4Mayor.com http://www.sa4mayor.com.

The entry is in competition with traditional broadcaster's new media work in 19 Texas markets including top stations in Houston, Dallas, Austin & San Antonio.
