As a member of the last few Habitat for Humanity groups to be housed at Camp Hope at the Bayou Road, St Bernard, Louisiana, location, we bid the facility farewell.
Tens of thousands of volunteers have been lodged at the former middle school - turned recovery station - during the recovery efforts for Hurricane Katrina and for low-income construction in New Orleans.
We look forward to hearing where the new Camp Hope will be located. We plan on coming down fall of 2009 to build more Habitat homes.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
