National Bicycle Month for those around the world-Donate your bicycles.
May 20, 2009 | Vetting explained
Being that May is the National Bike Month and the League of American Bicyclists are promoting Bike to Work Week, why not Go All Out and make it Donate your Old Bicycles to non profits such as Village Bicycle Project and Bicycles not Bombs.
We can all ride to work for one week, but why not get rid of those old bikes you store in the basement and are not used, to provide them to folks in countries in Africa and Central America.
This was my thought since CNN wants to co-sponsor this bicycle event, why not have CNN process the information mentioned below and see how far goodwill can follow.
I'm sure that folks would help those in need.
For this reason,am providing a link to where your old bikes can be donated around the country and shall attempt to upload a video. If videos fail, simply visit the links below.

Bikes Not Bombs has sent over 37,000 bikes to Central America, the Caribbean and Africa (and New Orleans) in the last 24 years. We do more than just speak about the social and environmental costs of increasing global motorization - we provide technical and material resources for transportation alternatives.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
