Salute, to Admiral Habermeyer
May 29, 2009 | Pennsylvania | Vetting explained
Salute to Admiral William Habermyer. After serving under Captain Mathowitz, I had the pleasure of serving with then Captain Habermeyer. I took this picture of him as we were going out to sea in 1981. Recently I saw him in an interview, and I must say, I'm glad to see that he's still alive.
"Hello Bill, and Salutations." I hope you're enjoying your retirement.
Forever your friend, "Dodson!"

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
