iReport —

I wrote about my experiences with African-Americans in general as an African living in America. I haven't blamed nor insulted anyone. In fact, I wrote that I understand why some feel the way they do towards us Africans because they don't know Africa. I also wrote about the good, hardworking people I have met and have grown to love and form lifelong friendships with just like I wrote about my negative experiments. But I will not apologize for what I lived and know to be my truth.

It is unfortunate that my words are being dissected for people to use as a weapon to destroy our race relations further and advance their own divisive agendas. In writing an Ireport, I hoped that we could "talk it out" and figure a way out of the issues we have yet pretend we do not the way the assignment asked. Regardless of how I was treated by some, I know enough African-Americans in my personal life and was raised to realize that we are all individuals and I treat each person I meet as such.

I remove my post not because it offended some, but because there is no point in keeping it up if the people it is intended for don't understand it  or it's purpuse and it's points are missed.
