Trade versus Quality; Trade versus Jobs
I have explained this more than once about giving a solution to NOW because in 8 months the NOW will be different. What is proposed for the NOW today, might not be effective for the next NOW in 8 months, it might even exacerbate the problem.
In my opinion, for the last 20 years the United States has been the driving force of the global economy. We went from a creditor nation to a debtor nation during the 70's. The reason for trade, as all economics teachings has always used this fictitious example or one similar.
Great Britain raises sheep and makes great quality sweaters.
France have a great grape supply and makes great quality wines.
The wine made in Britain is bitter; the wool in France is of poor quality for sweaters. So to overcome this, Britain sells sweaters to France, and France sells wine to Britain. All are happier.
That is trade versus quality and why trade is important. In recent times in the US it has been trade versus Jobs (Cheap Products). By cheap here I mean inexpensive. So instead of the classical reasoning for increase in trade; the real reasoning should be Trade versus jobs (Cheaper Products). To all of you that lost jobs because of downsizing, or because they shipped your job overseas, it was done out of greed, but because the US is the driving force of the world economy. We have enough trade agreements with countries, this is my first campaign promise that I will be keeping. I always keep my promises.
Withdraw the US from the World Trade Organization, WTO. Honor all agreements we have already negotiated. Everyone else, pay a 10% fee on exporting their goods to the US. Each International company must have 10% of the value of the estimated annual taxes that should be collected. If the company falls below the 10%, then their goods remain aboard the ship, or kept in holding at a US airport until the 10% floor is met, then the goods will be unloaded into the US. The reason to put the burden on the international supplier is we should not harm the US consumer by allowing cheap products come in, and force the US consumer to pay more directly on the importation of these goods. Let the international company pay for the importation and if they do not want to pay for their goods to be sold in the US, then they can keep them in their country, but they will be more than willing to pay to have their products imported.
Now China is a completely different story. The Yuan is not freely traded. All Chinese goods are prohibited from being traded in the US until they free up their currency. I used to date a woman from Hong Kong who was in the School of Business at Indiana University. I told Tsui Tsan Tsan almost exactly what I am proposing here. She told me there are too many goods in the US made in China. That was in '99-'01. Since that time the US has had a larger proliferation of Chinese goods imported into the US. Not just finished goods, but also unfinished goods to be finished here in the US. The burden on finding domestic suppliers to replace the Chinese suppliers will cause a small bump in prices in the short run, but because more Americans are put back to working more, the overall economy will grow drastically.
The greatest lesson here is FREE TRADE is NOT FREE. The overall benefit of cheaper goods is loss of manufacturing jobs. THE MAIN IDEA IS BUY AMERICAN AND SUPPORT AMERICANS!!!

The Best Reason Why Charles R. Newman is Your President
Unlike the others, Mr. Newman is a real human being. His word is his bond. If he promises something, he will live up to his promises. He is an American engineer, not an American politician. As you have read this, you are starting to feel good, and in his presidency, good feelings are what will happen to everybody not only in the US, but also in the US dealing with the world.

John McCain may have a lead in delegate numbers, but because I am entering so late and running on a shoestring budget, when the Republicans Delegates meet, they can choose to elect someone else if they believe the best for America would be another candidate.I am the best thing for the American People, and Senator McCain has been part of the problem since the 1980's and I am asking him to come on board and be part of the solution.

Mr. Newman wants and needs to hear from you. He does not only tolerate dissent, but encourages it. He does not want a yes man always following him around. He wants someone or others that will test what he is saying and push him into thinking to make the best decision.

You can contact him at crnewman@charlesrnewmanuspresident.com and he will personally answer your question, and post it on his site at CharlesRNewmanUSPresident.COM if it is an original thought never discussed on the site.
