President Obama in his today's news conference while very cautious in not making any premature remarks regarding the near future fate of the Iranian government, condemned violence and repression in Iran against peaceful demonstration and protests, placing emphasis on courage, justice and freedom.

He said, The United States and the international community are outraged by the brutality which the Iranian government is handling its people and are carefully watching the unfolding of events and see how the situation plays out, implying that certain strategies are in the works in cooperation with the international community that proper intervention will take place if the situation in Iran begin to evolve towards a serious bloodshed.

President also indicated that the government of Iran has an option in taking a peaceful path in resolving its conflict with its own people in stabilizing its internal affairs. And that obvious attempts has been made to blame the unrest on the CIA and the White House, which is patently wrong and an attempt to distract people by using external sources as scapegoats.

Iran must operate according to the international norms and rules set for human right as people’s basic rights and govern through consent of their own people and not by coercion. He continued to articulate the importance of human rights and governing through the will of the people and said, those who stand for justice they are always on the right side of history.
