My ninth birthday party after seeing Michael live 1983
June 25, 2009 | Denver, Colorado | Vetting explained
My ninth birthday party days after seeing Michael Jackson at Mile High Stadium 1983.
I won tickets to the Jackson Five Tour by entering a contest at Walgreens. I filled in over 200 entry forms, my sister filled in one... and won!
But I actually got to go because she wasn't old enough...sorry sis'.
The cake actually had a glitter glove, and you could eat the glitter! I talked about that for days at school rather than the fact I cried when Michael Jackson sung Thriller, which scared me because of all the monsters on stage.
I found out the news today while at my local record shop while dropping off some albums. Ironically enough the friend standing next me on the left in the picture is still a great friend and we currently have a couple music projects/bands together. (wentworth kersey, george&caplin)
Thanks Michael for the inspiration.
